15 July 2009 - Trellidors strengthened through R7m investment in product upgrades

Security barrier manufacturer Trellidor is investing R7 000 000 in strengthening its products, bucking the trend to delay investing in the current uncertain economic climate. “The technical upgrades may seem like over-kill considering that our products are already the strongest on the market, but one can’t value personal security high enough, and we have managed to pass on various price reductions at the same time to customers as a result of innovative designs and efficiencies,” said managing director Andrew Thomas.

Trellidor’s growth is being fed by an ever increasing demand for security products, the continued expansion of its highly successful and motivated franchisee base, and considered international expansion, especially into Africa.

Coroma and Roll-up Serranda operate in the domestic and industrial garage door and roller shutter markets. They have been custom manufacturing their product ranges for over 40 years and 50 years respectively. These operations offer the group sound growth prospects as they increase their market share in South Africa and, where appropriate, follow the Trellidor expansion into Africa. Market share growth will be achieved through product innovation, continued customer service excellence in a notoriously poorly served market and leveraging off group synergies and opportunities.
